Vandals attack That Wanaka Tree
Such a shame to hear some heartless people chopped off the lower branches of this tree. I hope they find out who did it and fine them, and that no one ever learns their name.

wtf is hive?
It's where most of the community are moving to be rid of Justin Sun and his hijacking of the steem blockchain. You'll get a 1 for 1 token airdrop and you'll have the same username and keys on the new chain. It's a direct fork of Steem. It goes live at 1am Eastern Australia daylight savings time, Saturday morning.

No it will all happen automatically. The new steemit-like front end is at hive.blog. Steempeak will have a new web address for hive, but they haven't released it yet. As of saturday you'll have an account still on steem and one at hive. Where you blog after that is up to you. ;) Hopefully we'll see you at Hive.
Yeah I just looked into it a bit more. I don't really follow most of this stuff because I just want a social media platform to post to and don't care about the politics. But I think I'll be moving to Hive
