What should not be given to squirrels

Squirrels feed mainly on pine shoots and pine cones. However, they also will not give up walnuts, hazelnuts and carrots. We must remember that we should not give rodents artificial products such as chips, nuts with chocolate icing or other sweet snacks that we often eat.

Squirrels are not used to this type of food. When used, they can damage their delicate digestive tracts.
