Like looking for my phone while holding it...and my glasses while wearing it, What happened? I can think of a few reasons and it is very simple but important. First off all is not paying attention or concentrating. We allow ourselves to be distracted by so many unnecessary things. Then also we have some rigid ideas set in our heads about what we're looking for which make it hard to recognize it even if it's standing on our nose. Also, I learned that we see with our minds, not our eyes which is why even the blind see things in their mind's eye.
