RE: Engaging with gratitude - Thoughts on Poverty and wealth

First and foremost! Cool fucking Metallica shirt!

Now for the real talk, I know exactly what you are talking about, I was born into a family that had enough money to go around and buy the stuff we all wanted, when the 2008 financial crisis hit, we were hit hard, really hard, not only because of the crisis but because of other factors! Now, my family were always saying they were on the "verge of going down", etc...etc... but we all had cars, we had houses, we ate like kings, the money was just less, I was always saying that they should be happy because of the things they had, but I guess in their mind they were poor because they couldn't see the things they had, they always wanted more!

Regardless of that, if people don't like being poor decrease the expenses, increase the income, saving 1 buck a day is enough to make life easier, if not for them then for their kids! And if they can't increase the income because they don't have the skills for it then just learn the skills! We have a great tool called the internet! We can all learn new things!

That's right... pulling yourself from that emotional rot is hard though, and many who are there give up too easy.
