The Silence of Dusk

in #philosophy7 years ago (edited)

Did you ever wander what certain part of the day sounds like? I'm not talking about birds chirping in the morning, or cricket announcing that the night is falling. Nor the sound of planets moving, shifting and tumbling. No, I mean a deeper, more intimate sound only you can hear.

I consider this to be some sort of continuation on one of my previous blogs "The Sound of Dawn", where I contemplated why is it so hard for me to wake up with a smile, and be cheerful right away. I went even deeper in to the subject with one of my friends here, and I hope she is reading this, and that she is aware that I am working on it.

In that conversation, another thought came to my mind, and that is how I send off one day, and what is the sound of the dusk in my mind.

I should say that dusk is the favorite part of my day. I should also add that this is mostly in summer when the days are longer and it's not dark until late in the day. So, if I do sound a little bit bias and pro-dusk shall I say, don't take my word for it. It's just my opinion, and I would love to hear yours.

What do I hear?

Something like this..
Sun moves slowly, with a heavy sigh, time to pass the torch to it's smaller friend the Moon. Did I tell you I love the Moon, how is it called? Selenophilia.

“Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.”
― Mark Twain

One more day has passed with ease and comfort. Everything that should've happened, did. Every flower bloomed without effort, rain fell and tickled the imagination of every seed, hoping it will one day become something beautiful. Many were born, not knowing what to expect, and many died feeling the same.

I hear the sound of fresh water and I feel grateful that I have it. I feel the food giving my body the energy it needs, and thank every little seed that became part of me and enabled me to write these lines.

End of one day for me and you is a time to reflect, to reconsider how lucky we were to have it in the first place.

I play the records that are made only in my mind, of every beautiful conversation I had that day. I open my fictional photo-album and enter every breathtaking memory, for safe keeping and rainy days.

I love the end of each day, and it sounds peaceful and calm to me. It brings a certain feel of ease and worry-less period, a time to rest and rejuvenate for the next day.

What do you hear in the dusk? Is it silent and peaceful, dreadful and uncertain, heavy, light, exciting?

Be sure to let me know in the comments!

With love,
Tamara

Artists use their brushes to paint on canvasses. You use words to paint on the canvasses in the minds of your readers. And as there will be different interpretations of an artist's painting, so will there be as many different impressions of your words as your readers in their hearts and souls. This is so beautifully written. I hope one day I can write something as beautiful as this about my favorite time of the day and why.

I love how you said that, so inspirational.
And I welcome any impressions and opinions, that is the point, right?

We are doing fine @tamacvet. Happily Steeming along : ) Thanks for the warm wishes. I hope you and your family are doing just as well.

I love the insight, incredibly beautiful.

Dusk is one of my favorite times of day as well, for much of the same reasons.

I love the way you worded it here:

"I play the records that are made only in my mind, of every beautiful conversation I had that day. I open my fictional photo-album and enter every breathtaking memory , for safe keeping and rainy days"

It's important that we reflect on our days and our lives so that we might realize all that we did well as well as what we can improve on, so that tomorrow might be a slight improvement : ).

Beautiful text ... if you keep such thoughts in the dark and sleep with them, I think you are on the best way to wake up with a smile :)

Well, thank you so much for your kind words!
Only positive thinking allowed, right?

Absolutely! There is no need for a different approach :).

Very interesting post about silence of disck. Congratulations tamacvet

Did you read it?

Dear Tamara, as I can see you are so gentle and sensitive, but forced to pretend strong. The reason of fear that haunts you is a lack of confidence since you are still young. When you feel dark, enjoy in darkness, when you feel happy show it to the world. I can see only sunshine in your future life, so do nоt overthink, just be yourself end embrace with gratitude whatever you may find in the future. Please, forgive me, for this words, maybe I sound boring, but I sincerely wish to put big smile on your face all day long not only during dusk or dawn, every part of the day is magnificent.

Hi :)...I saw your comment and I have to reply it, because she is the most confident person I know, and I know her,she just loves to think.

Very good, but I would like her to enjoy the dawn as well. I hope she will understand what I meant.
Wish you all the best Natasha.

I'm sure she understood it. All the best for you and a lot of success at the steemit.

Lovely post. The finest moments in the ocean are dawn and dusk. For myself, dawn and dusk correspond, they are the moment in time when the wind may settle and the light quality in the sky abruptly transforms towards a mystical experience. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, water shifts too glass, reflecting partial images of the sky. I begin contemplating the movement of the water and colourful light. The wind becomes soft and gentle, and the polished waves slow down time. Living in nature at dawn will ease my restless mind and in dusk the frantic mind. Both symbolising calmness, the begining or closing of another day.
