Where are we in time?
History seems to start with the birth of Christ. Before Christ is far, as it were it is unclear and so it is unimportant.
We Muslims used to have the Hegira Calendar. Before the Hegira, after the Hegira... On December 26th 1925, we adopted the Gregorian Calendar, and we considered the beginning of our calendar as Year Zero.
However, the Sumerians were using far more advanced calendars than those we used to have. In fact, 3000 years before Plato, they knew the Great Year.
The Great Year ( Precession or Precession of the Earth )
Due to the precession of the North-South axis of the Earth, the Pole Star actually draws a large circle in the north. It is needed to take 25,920 years for the Polar Star to arrive at the same spot. This process is named as the Great Year. Western Civilization, who admire Greek Civilization, has given the name of ''The Great Year'' long after. Platon had found out this period of time from Minoan Civilization. Minoans had found out it from Egyptians, and Egyptians had found out it from Sumerians.
A document registered in the Vat.7847 catalog number at the Berlin Museum gives us the information about The Great Year about 6,000 years ago.

This information, in fact, should not make our eyes pop, but it should help us to think over. How did the Sumerians, the oldest known society, suddenly appeared in 4000s, know this knowledge? Let's go through what they know, how this information would stand them in good stead? There are various speculations on this subject. The world's respected scientists can explain it. However, I would like to clarify the issue by approaching in a completely different perspective as a contribution to these explanations.
If we can visualize in our minds where we are in time, we will see that even the most imaginative theories of the scientists should be taken into account.
It is not possible to know how much time has passed since God created time for sure. However, there are clues in the Qur'an that the time is relative. Theologians already explain what these clues are. Modern science is now in agreement with the universe is 13.8 billion years old and the Earth is 4.5 billion years old. This seems to be quite true both mathematically and support of physical evidence.
A copy of the Vat.7847 tablet in Berlin Museum:
I am making an analogy by considering this information true like that:
If we compare the age of the universe to the 1380 km which is distance from Hakkari-Yüksekova to Istanbul, and if we compare the world's age to 450 km which is distance from Ankara to Istanbul, this will make our understanding of where we are at the moment easier. I say that thinking over about the age of the universe by leaving the readers who are able to read and comprehend this article.
1- We pin in the middle of the first step of Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) staircases in Ankara,
2- We also pin in the middle of the Bosphorus Bridge. Of course, we will have to stop the traffic. Anyway, it is worth knowing where we are in time.
3-Now, 450 km equals 450 thousand meters. 450,000 meters equals 450 million milimeters. The pin that we needle in the middle of the Bosphorus bridge is not made in China but made in Japan, and the thickness is 1 milimeters. The thickness of this Japanese needle is exactly equivalent to 1000 years.
Let's needle another pin next to it, that's where we reached the Year Zero.
If we needle four more pins, we will reach Sumerians. We do not know the rest.
So all we know is that the distance between Istanbul and Ankara is not even 5 milimeters long. You know that the Bosphorus Bridge is flexible. If a truck passes over the Bosphorus bridge by accident, our pin will roll back and forth at least 100 years. We live in such a small part of time and we know so little. In this case, isn't it improper to imagine what else did happen in the past? I mean, if we needle ten nails of a hundred nails over the bridge. Here, it is the same period of time of ten civilizations' existence. Ten nails of a hundred nails equals 50 centimeters at most. 50 centimeters makes no difference on the Bosphorus Bridge.
You also think about the distance of 450 km between Istanbul and Ankara.
For this reason, it is no wonder that the Sumerians, who has lived 6000 years ago, knew the Great Year, which was able to be discovered by Modern science in the 20th century.
So, what does this information hold them in good stead? That's the whole point here.
I am leaving you the distance between Hakkari-Yüksekova and Istanbul.
