7 tips to help you love yourself and your body

in #philosophy5 years ago

Several days ago, I had a talk with my good friend and he told me that this girlfriend constantly complaining that she has big flaws in her figure.

After which I wondered where the thoughts and phobias of my imperfection come from and how to deal with it.

When we look at ourselves in the mirror, what do we pay attention to first of all? As a rule, we notice only our shortcomings and thereby spoil our mood for the whole day. We often hear phrases: “You need to get in shape” and “Something I completely relaxed!”. And we convince ourselves and others that the main problem lies precisely in our body. Thus, we program our brain to see only in our appearance that we do not like.

Let's think positively, no matter how trite it may sound. Take your photo or go to the mirror and focus on what you consider attractive. Give yourself a compliment and think what other people could say.

Do not dwell on the details. One drawback should not spoil the whole impression of appearance. Better think about what you consider attractive in yourself - it's much nicer.

Remember, you always have a choice. Nobody forces you to change, but if you are determined to do this, do not back down.

Do something unexpectedly inspiring. Try new exercises in the gym, go to yoga. And most importantly - think "I can do it!".

Stop comparing yourself to other people. Try to drive away this thought, like a persistent fly. After all, people do not believe that a rose is more beautiful than chamomile - these are completely different flowers.

Each has its own shortcomings. Even the most successful, attractive and slender person sometimes feels insecure. We can consider him an ideal, but he, believe me, is equal to someone.

The path to change is long and thorny, but nothing happens overnight - practice, be patient and don't stop.
