STEEM introduced at the #iBlog13 The Philippine Blogging Summit
The Philippine Blogging Summit #iBlog13 was held last September 2, 2017 at the Malcolm Theater of the University of the Philippines' College of Law in Diliman, Quezon City with the theme "Responsible Blogging and Social Media Vigilance." The event was organized by the U.P. College of Law and the UP Law Internet and Society Program and sponsored by Compumatrix International and UNILAB.
Bloggers from all over the Philippines attended the event which so much enthusiasm to learn more about the various trends in their industry while advocating being responsible on their blogging profession and being vigilant to news, topics and articles posted on Social Media.
Among the highlights of the event was the sponsor's talk where Henry James Banayat, Executive Managing Director of the Compumatrix International Group of Companies discussed the topic “The Convergence of Blogs and Cryptocurrencies: A New Frontier for Monetization” which features the blockchain-powered platform STEEMIT.com and STEEM Cryptocurrency.
Banayat encourage bloggers to use the Steemit.com Platform and take advantage of earning cryptocurrency in monetizing their blogs on top of the traditional or current system where blogs are monetized by becoming an ad publisher for platforms like Google Adsense or by posting affiliate links.
During the same event, one of the first bitcoin ATMs in the country had been featured at the lobby with several curious bloggers taking selfies as they meet the future of financial technology.
According to Banayat, Compumatrix International's mission is to promote the use of cryptocurrencies in the country. One of their projects is to turn Baguio City into the Blockchain-capital of the Philippines with the upcoming launch of the Cryptopinoy.com Project where Filipinos can freely exchange, buy or sell cryptocurrencies over the counter or through the network of ATMs distributed by their partner, the Virtual Web Assist and the ThePeoplesOptions (TPO) Group.
Would have loved to be there. Did you make some blogger friends? Let's bring them on steemit. I have a special post up now, where you can ask steemit questions!
I just read better now. This is good news. We can talk, if you are open to chat. A link to reach me, is underneath my last post. So awesome, that they mention steemit.
Was in Baguio days back:

The event was really great. You can feel the curiosity and excitement of everyone as they learn a fresh, legitimate and new way to monetize content on the internet. Add the various topics during the day, it was an eye opener.
Great, was it you who handled the talk? Are they all coming around on steemit? Visit my last post, if you have time. It is something shareable
That would be one of our directors @henryjames on STEEMIT. Sure will visit your post and retweet/
Henry - You took 50 of my bitcoin on video on behalf of your company compumatrix stating you would trader them for profit. I have been trying to get them back since September and you continue to say you will send but never do! Stealing 50 bitcoins is not honorable - stealing the profits and lying is not representative of your public statements
