Hello Steemians :-). Did you hear about the dessert called "pastillas de leche"?
final.jpgThis is my very own version of a delicious Pastillas de leche.

PASTILLAS DE LECHE
Translated from the Spanish word which means “milk tablets” or “milk pills” which basically describes this Filipino sweet delicacy.Pastillas de leche are sweet milk candies are made out of carabao (water buffalo) milk shaped into small cylinders, it is hardened by evaporation and addition of sugar during the cooking process.

Little did you know that because of selling pastillas, I've earned a money nearly almost double amount of my 350+ pesos investment. I sell it for about 5PHP each and I earn almost 800PHP having a gain of about 500PHP. Since I have already graduated in college, my parents don't give me money anymore thus it helps me a lot in my expenses since I'm still here at our house waiting for the response of the different jobs I'd applied for. Well, today I'm gonna share with you all about my little simple and easy business having a satisfying profit. It needs only about below 500PHP investment to start with. Later on, I'm gonna tell you the step by step process on how to do it in order for you to have an additional income aside from the current job you have right now. Prior to that, I would like to tell first the different ingredients needed and it's equivalent prices for you guys to know.

These are the following ingredients for you to follow and buy:

  1. First, one (1) big pack of powdered milk in any brand (of what brand you like and you can afford) with 900g to 1000g for about 350+ in Philippine money. For me, I choose the Alaska brand because I love and like it very much and as well it has a lesser price than the other milk product existing in the market.
  2. Second, two (2) cans of condensed milk also in any brand you like for about 28PHP each.

  3. Third, refined white sugar can be in 500g (1/2kilo) or in 1000g (1kilo). It is better to have more than to have less because you can use it for the future.

Now, I will tell you the simple step by step method on how to make the pastillas.

PROCESS in making the PASTILLAS

  1. Gather the main ingredients (milk and condense). In a large mixing bowl mix and combine together powdered milk and condensed milk in slowly but surely process until texture resembles a dough.

  2. Once mixed well and the texture is consistent pinch a small amount and rolls it with your palm until the shape is circle and after into cylindrical form.
  1. Roll each candy in sugar to prevent them sticking together.

  2. Wrap in cellophane the store in airtight containers.

NOTE: Hands should properly clean and dry.

As you can see, it only needs a small investment to start with and everybody can afford it. Also, the process is very simple and as well fun. So what are you waiting for let's do it and together we earn.
