There were 7 warriors on display in total, but it was amazing to think about the size of the excavation, which unearthed over 8000 statues. DSC04606.JPG
This one is a recreation of the what they would have looked like over 2000 years ago, painted with full color.

This is the last weekend to visit the warriors in Philly before they leave! If you are in town its definitely worth a visit.

Ah, this is awesome! I watched a documentary on this and was totally fascinated. The size of this undertaking, especially for the era when they were made and the differences in tools and resources is staggering. Also that they were burried, or in part of tomb is so curious and baffling.

So glad you posted these pics, so I still got to check them out without making it to the exhibit myself.

Resteeming as well.

They did a really nice job presenting the warriors. There was a lot of effort and care taken with the layout and lighting too. I’m really glad I went=)
