Literally LOL'ed at the cowbell comment. Definitely sucks to get down-voted for a petty reason. This is The Wild West or the Lord of the Flies island, if either of those were a social media site. It's somewhat decentralized and anyone has the potential to become a powerful "Whale" here. How they use that power once they get it is their prerogative. It's only natural that some of those who gain power in any field or arena will then utilize that power to gain more power. The Steemit platform/community is no different in that regard.
Steemit is an interesting and exciting experiment, that's for sure! I dig it.

Thank so much for the comment! I appreciate everyone who gives my content attention because it helps to keep me motivated to create more.
If I were to ever become a whale I would use my influence to help newcomers also grow financially, and help them to network with others so that Steemit would continue to be a place people would enjoy sharing ideas and forming long lasting friendships.
I certainly would not intentionally make life difficult for anyone especially little planktons such as myself. See I'm not even a minnow yet, just an insignificant blip on the radar.
