You knew that calendula is an unmistakable barometer??

If the flowers do not open until seven o'clock in the morning - it will rain or thunderstorm.

In Mexico I consider this plant a dead flower, because of the belief that its strong fragrance helps the souls of the dead to find their way to our world. So the day of the dead, when according to legend, the souls of dead relatives come home, Mexicans decorate it with flowers calendula and bring them to the grave.

Even the ancient Romans noticed that the calendula turns behind the sun, straightening the petals. In the shade, the flower immediately closes. Therefore, calendula is called a sun flower!

What an interesting fact), thanks
