My Dog Chief
We have a Miniature Dachshund and his name is Chief. He is eleven years old. When we got him, he weighed about one pound and was about 6 inches long. He is my little buddy and is a big part of our family. He has been such a source of joy for us. Recently, he hurt his back bad. Two herniated discs. We are not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, but we were going to make sure he had the best treatment we could get. We took him to the University of Tennessee Veterinary Hospital. The surgeon and staff were great. $4800 for the surgery, but he is worth every penny of it. The surgery was one week ago and he is home now resting and healing. It will be a long time before he is barking at the kitties and playing with his stuffed animals again.
Hope the poor lil guy heals quickly!
