She was a Polish-American chemist who invented the polyparaphenylene terephthalamide known as Kevlar, a high strength fiber, golden color, which can be up to five times more resistant than steel and that is currently used in the production of bulletproof vests
Her career was full of achievements, including 17 patents and multiple awards as a publication in the Delaware Section Publication Award of the American Chemical Society
