Have a 10 minute break and watch this. It’ll touch your heart!
In God’s creation we will find the most beautiful little elements to be building blocks and steps for us to establish our calling, to create hope for a better future. This was communicated by Elvis Presley’s song If I can dream, a cry to heaven for a better world. At his acceptance speech for receiving the Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Nation Award in 1971, a nervous Elvis stated: ‘When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was the hero of the comic book. I saw a movie, and I was the hero in the movie…. You realize that it’s not impossible to build the kingdom of heaven. It’s not so far-fetched. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain’t got a friend; without a song the road would never bend, without a song...so I keep singing a song. Goodnight. Thank you!’ In the last part Presley was quoting Roy Hamilton’s Without a Song.
The giving tree
The mystery of life itself and our given gifts that we share and interact with, are precious. Love, not money, is the most valuable thing that builds lives and accomplishes visions. Steemit is creating a huge family of free people who value the beautiful interaction of sharing and helping. I find this very encouraging and exciting. If we only follow the money, we can end up millionaires with empty and lonely hearts. But if we build our existence on values that appreciate life and reach out to others, our own lives will become full and prosperous as a result. Never mind the haters, the slanderers who see everything in a negative light. Let us focus on the little gestures of kindness that touch the need of others, and let's look for the hidden golden nuggets to build our strength and our spirit.
Don't take love and kindness for granted, life is so short. Watch this 1973 original animation video by Shel Silverstein. It'll touch your heart.
