Help! I did the one thing everyone said not to do!

I am super new to steemit. I came over here because Mericanhomestead sent me from YouTube. I signed up late one evening after an hour of video watching from my phone. I quickly downloaded the app and created an account. Saved my info in the app and off I go. I'm rocking along reading articles and watching videos and really enjoying seemit from my app on my phone. I'm up voting and commenting and really not having a clue what I'm doing.

Finally I decide to try and figure out what this seemit is really all about. As I am doing my internet 'research' I go to sign on to my account on the computer only to realize I don't know my password. Ok no big deal I'll click the 'forgot password' link..... well..... huh ok can't find it, let me watch a video on how to reset password.

.....Well that's not good! Let me find another video. That one was from 2016, I'm sure it's different now.

Do you see where I'm going here? My current situation is enjoying steemit from this app on my phone, and that is great. However I can't go any further or get on my computer to watch/read etc.

So what do I do? Any suggestions? Is there hope? I was ready to fly only to realize I clipped my own dang wings.
