I’m currently at the gym putin’ in some work and decided to take a pic of the Las Vegas Strip. 🏙
Isn’t this view just awesome? 😳
When people think Las Vegas, all they know or talk about is that tiny little 2 mile road called the “Strip” (where all that resort and casino action is).
The city is much more than that. There’s around 2 Million people that live here and we call ourselves “locals”. 😂
I’ve been living here for more than 15+ years and most of us hardly ever hit the “Las Vegas Strip”.
It’s kinda funny when I tell people that I live in Las Vegas. Most think I live in a resort or some shit and that’s it’s party central 24/7 everyday which is 100% false. lol
This city is quite freakin’ awesome. 🙋🏼♂️
How can you complain about cheap housing, great weather (hardly never rains* dry heat), no state taxes, best travel hubs (flying to major cities), experiencing 5-Star everything, mountains (hiking and yes even skiing in winter), and so much more.
If you are an entrepreneur, this is the place to be. It’s one of the main reason I moved to Las Vegas. 👨🏼💻
There’s are dozens of conventions with tens of thousands of people every week.
Anyways, I better get back to the weights, there are some people staring at me because I’m just on my phone writing this and not working out. 😂
So the next time you think Las Vegas, it’s just like a normal city with tons of “extra” benefits outside of all the “buzz” you hear about it.

I used to live in Vegas back between 2007 and 2013. I moved my software business there Oct 2007, then I had to come back to NY to help take care of my elderly father.
The above picture is from March 2003. Your picture must be as viewed from the north west side near Summerlin. I used to train in Gold's Gym on Flamingo. Carrot Top used to train there (locker #21).

It was the same way when I was there. I only ever went to the strip on a couple of occasions when I was there, otherwise I was a tourist. I was traveling a lot during that period so for the most part I was out of town.

That’s funny you said carrot top, a decade ago you can see him at all the gyms. I met him once workin out at the Las Vegas club on Sahara also... it seemed he didn’t want to be bothered haha

I think Vegas would be a good location for a Steemfest.
That's what I need saying for a long time lol ... People be like "Those people from steem are hip, I want in!" :)
I think I'm gonna check out vegas as a potential home base when I get back to the states. But I don't know if I'm even capable of having a home base lol.

Got to have a home base. I have tons of friends who went nomad for years and after a few years... they all came back and wanted a “home base” 😂

It was between 10 sets, found out I stayed at the gym for an extra 30 minutes cause of the post 😂

I made my first trip to Vegas this year and I'm definitely heading back there, hopefully soon!
I was one of the people who always thought of Vegas as 1 small strip in the middle of a desert before I booked the trip. I was amazed how much more there was to the place.
Yeah, 99% just see the Las Vegas Strip but it makes like 1% of what Vegas is all about 😬

I was never there but as a poker player I really want to go.
I just dont want to go through the hustle traveling into the states
I barely play poker in Vegas, there are lots of good players that just take my money 😂

This really interesting. I've never been to Las Vegas but I hope to do so someday with the feelings of experience what you stated.
It’s just a normal city unless you hit the Las Vegas Strip. Be prepared to bring lots of Money 😂
