RE: Will Sustainability Kill or Enslave Us All? Part 1

I think there are plenty of options for renewable energy cars the problem being the oil companies want to make money until they are rained in profit will be the main objective. As long as they can make money they will shelf any other alternatives that are suggest. We can harness free energy and have been able to for decades but there is not profit in that 💯🐒

Sort:

Yes - right from the start, Ford imagined hemp and ethanol fueled cars

There could be profit in it if we retrofit existing cars and the biofuels came from non-intensive sources like restaurants grease and farms' waste.

The movie "who killed the electric car" demonstrates your point quite well though!

It comes down to better education, leadership and planning to migrate from the oil dependency - this is what is lacking and it doesn't have to come from government.

Spot on education is the key. When people wake to the fact everything is run with profit in mind and we can change this to a more sustainable way. We have the technology to live completely sustainably in every sense people just need to start using it 💯🐒
