Welcome,
Pandora's box is a didactic poem referring to a farmers almanac of inheritance stemming back to Greek mythology ~700BCE. At its origin, the box was really a jar. Hesiod wrote this piece among The Works and Days to instruct his brother Perses of agricultural arts. Depicting the agrarian crises forced a colonial expedition in search of new land. Didactic refers to teach with an ulterior motive to provide moral instruction. Thus, I see it fit suiting perfectly well as my first post.
Many of us know Pandora's box as a plethora of mystery generally holding evil and once opened it is permeated throughout the world. However, not many of us are aware of what is dispelled after the release. The remainder inside the jar... is hope. This is a tale of the unknowing, the unpredictable and lastly the uncontrollable. As a consequence of Prometheus (the story of human kind), Pandora was the first human woman born of the Earth. Together, these two and several other works aim to provide reasoning for theodicy. In other words, the justification of how/why a good G-d would permit the manifestation of evil. This is opposite of saying there is no formal contradiction; instead omnibenevelont or all-knowing G-d is in existence following the evil. Thus, the existence of evidential evil is consistent with evidence of an all-knowing.
In more ways than one this is my life, and soon to come, this is the basis of my ideas. There is so much to be learned, so much to comprehend and therein lies the truth: most of the lives we live are unconceived. A sad truth, indeed, but regardless one such as I must maintain a bloody thirst for knowledge and wisdom to provoke the mind and spirit. I employ you to open the jar and explore, with me or individually. Hopefully, together we may build a strong foundation of what it means to colonize a new expedition, especially in times of crisis.
Namaste.
