If it wasn't for the tech bubble, 9-11, and the real estate bubble, crypto would be widely adopted and years ahead of where we are now. It is likely Thiel, and other PayPal Mafia like Max Levchin or Reid Hoffman, may even be the secretive founders of Bitcoin; that's the question I can't resolve.
Interesting theory. I was thinking peter is just smart with money moves. Ive never heard of paypal mafia. Ill have to do some more reading.
