State rooms of the Palace - Part 1
Topkapi palace is one of the must visit places in Istanbul. It's the palace from the Ottoman empire time built in the 15th century and served as a administrative and residential center of the Ottoman Empire for nearly four centuries. It's a larger then life palace. Now it is a tourist place and you see a good collection of the royal antic collections in this place, which includes their clothing and accessories, arms and ammunitions, daily life things that were used, gifts from other royal families and states. It gives a complete glimpse of their lifestyle. The jewels section is something where one will be totally captivated. It's a full day affair if you want to visit the palace thoroughly. I did not have that much time as we only had 3 days in Istanbul and had lot of places to visit. As there is lots to showcase I will break it down in 2 to 3 parts.
That's one part of the Palace with the courtyard. The palace is not all on the straight ground, it has levels going up and down, the top level gives a complete view of the city. It was designed in that way so that the king could get a bird's eye view of his city from the top.
I clicked loads of pictures of the palace and some of me also :-)
One of the thrones of the royals, it's fully gold plated.
This is one of the royals meeting chambers and also their personal rooms. Look at the ceiling, it has fine intricate designs.
I love these kind of antic tables. We had one such marble table at my home, but for a long time I did not know the value of it and never appreciated it, but now I crave to have such things at my home.
The side console tables are equally elegant. All our furniture concepts are derived from the olden times.
This ceiling and chandelier is a beauty.
A glimpse of one of their meeting rooms
Another one. What I observed was no 2 rooms were same, Each one had different art work with different color coordination's. The furniture style was also different for each room.
Entry is not allowed in any of these rooms.
You will see how each room has different styles, the furniture, curtain, ceilings, chandeliers, all of them are different designs in each room. That's the dining room
A very impressive palace. I will continue with the remaining parts in the next blogs.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
@nainaztengra, what a fantastic glimpse into the Topkapi Palace! Your photos are stunning, especially the gold-plated throne and those intricately designed ceilings. I can almost feel the history radiating from these images.
It's fascinating to hear about the unique designs of each room – the Ottomans clearly had a flair for opulence and detail! I appreciate your personal touch, like reminiscing about your family's marble table. It makes the experience all the more relatable.
I'm already looking forward to the next parts of your tour. Knowing more about the royal antic collections, especially the jewels section, has me hooked! Thanks for sharing this captivating peek into Istanbul's rich history. What was your favorite part of the palace?

Thank. It is a very stunning Palace, every room and corner is a piece of art. My favorite part was the main state room, which I have shared today and also the section where they have all the royal jewels on display.
