Overwatch: "Heroes Rise" video + Lesson: You can do it!

I love the drama and dynamics at play in the Overwatch universe. 

You had an elite group of warriors who were disbanded and blamed by the public, with internal strife causing a division that ultimately ended in their destruction. Years later, the need for Overwatch is greater than ever and you see the beginnings of their small, but growing response to the evil in the world.

So I made this Overwatch tribute video to tell a story: heroes will rise to the occasion. As you watched, I hope you noticed the slow buildup in the start of the video (before the epic beat) and then saw how the arc ends on either bad turning good (looking at you, Bastion) or old heroes once again saving the day (like Winston and Tracer). And with the latter, doing so despite misgivings about their role or identity as heroes (like Soldier 76).

Now, we all can't be known world-wide like Tracer or Mercy or Genji. But we can make a difference in our own worlds and in the lives of those who touch ours. It may not be exciting- it may actually be a boring, slow grind- but excellence can be obtained if you keep trying.

Conclusion

It's my hope that we, as players and as people, can also rise to the occasion. I'm sure that whatever hardship you're facing, you can overcome it. You can do it. Be a hero and rise to the occasion!
