Buffering... Please Wait – A Digital Soul in 2025

in #overthinking25 days ago

You ever get that feeling like you're stuck in a cosmic loading screen?
Like the universe pressed "pause," but forgot to tell you why?

Today, I woke up feeling like I had something to do—something important.
But instead of launching into the day like an upgraded version of myself, I ended up:

☕ Staring at my coffee cup
🐱 Petting my cat like she held the meaning of life
📚 Opening five browser tabs
... and completing exactly none of them.

In that moment, I realized — I wasn’t tired. I wasn’t lazy.
I was just buffering.
Like my brain was a browser with 34 open tabs, 7 frozen, and music playing from somewhere I couldn't find.

🤔 Is This Adulthood 2.0?

There’s this strange phase we rarely talk about —
You're functional, but floating.
You're awake, but not quite alive.
You're moving, but nowhere fast.

It's like we're waiting for something to download —
purpose, motivation, peace, clarity — but the bar never seems to reach 100%.

What if we’re all lagging a little?

Maybe it’s not just me.
Maybe it's the pace of the world, the pressure to always be “on,” or the quiet exhaustion of just existing.

So here’s my thought for the day:

If you’re buffering too — it’s okay.
Let the loading screen be a moment of rest, not shame.
