Turkey Hunting
From the beginning of creation the Lord God gave man the job to manage the birds of the air and the cattle of the field. One of the most interesting creatures that man has the blessing is o hunt is the North American Wild Turkey.
I was introduced to Turkey Hunting in the Spring of 2006 when a friend in Pennsylvania invited me out to turkey hunt. It is an experience I will forever treasure. I learned so much while On this hunt that I will carry with me the rest of my life.
One of the things that I remember is we were setup on the edge of a field not far from the roosting tree and as the sun began to peak past the horizon the turkeys broke open into a beautiful natural chorus. I like to call it God's natural choir. When listening to them my mind turned to when the Lord Jesus comes back to receive His church unto himself of the chorus we will be singing to praise His dear name and how beautiful that will be. The bonus of that da was I was able to harvest a Jake Turkey that day.
Since I that spring day in 2006 I always look forward to time in the Turkey Woods. Even if I don't harvest an Ole Tom Turkey it is still a successful hunt because I got to experience God's creation at its fullest. I look forward to passing this on to my children so they can pass it onto theirs.

I find it fitting to close with Matt Redman's video from YouTube singing "10,000 Reasons"

Agree! There is no such thing as a bad day hunting or fishing.
Turkey hunting is exciting. Nothing like hearing a gobbler work his way towards you! Here in Missouri, we can also hunt in the fall. Do you have that there?
We do have fall Turkey hunting here as well. I think here in WV we can harvest two toms in the spring and a hen or Tom in the fall. I love to Hunt any chance I get.
Any chance we get a uninterrupted chance! Haha.
I love turkey hunting! Used to hunt in the woods directly behind my house in Virginia. We coukd go out before daylight and use a crow call or owl hooter and locate 4 or 5 Gobblers on the roost.
I usually hunted with my 12 gauge, but on day, it was either my crowning moment or a lucky shot, but I got one with my bow? Right at the base of the neck. Sold all now! Love turkey hunting, but love winning souls for Christ better than anything!
God bless!
