@dlive is not decentralized, they keep all content on their own centralized servers. If @dtube were to store video content how much HDD space would each witness be required to have. Also can users download their @dlive content themselves then post it on YT? that seems to be a centralized app that will not delete or move our videos away from Steemit? Wonder if there is a Cloud Blockchain technology that others utilize where "miners" give hard drive space up to mine crypto with... something like maidsafe that would enable us to help witnesses lighten hdd load ?

Yes I'm aware of that, sorry if the comment made out like I was saying they were.

Video storage is just massive eh. Not sure of a profitable/breakeven decentralised method to do this yet, your solution of sharing the storage out sounds feasible.

That would be an interesting project for a witness to embark, making Steemit Cloud Mining capable to help make us & @vimm or @dtube able to compete with YouTube, Vimeo and Twitch one day in the monetised video content world. Many would love to mine STEEM or SBD this way even if to just cover power costs and a small gain for ultimate sustainability.

If balanced right it does sound like a win win for all!
