Context is everything! Just not on social media.
Why is it that people are so quick to castigate others over the slightest thing? Its getting beyond a joke. Individuals reading 'sentences' on social media without context or before they know the full story, have already made up their mind as to who is to blame, who the bad person is and what should be done to make things right! All off one sentence!
A headline on twitter the other day mentioned that ICE had arrested a guy that was on route to the hospital with his wife who was to give birth.
From only the headline, thousands of people decided that ICE were evil for doing it and that the guy arrested was a poor guy missing the birth of his child.
No one had even bothered to research the fact that the guy was arrested on suspicion of murder! A potential murderer was being defended by thousands of people.
The thing is he should be defended. He is innocent until proven guilty. But the people defending him didn't know this. so they were not defending him for the right reasons. They were defending him for their own pathetic virtue signalling reasons. They thought they would be seen as a kind and compassionate person in the eyes of the people in their echo chamber. But they didn't read the facts of the article so....
These people were seen by everyone as lazy, incompetent, irrational, ignorant etc.........
There's no defense to this kind of ignorance. Read the damn facts in the article you virtue signalling wankers! castigating people only works when they deserve it, kinda like the people who jumped to the wrong conclusions because they didn't bother looking for the facts!
