There’s nothing to warm you up on a cold Colorado day like a little Willie. Nelson, that is. This is one of the holy trinity of classic hits from short-haired Willie (still talking about Nelson), written in 1961 when he was writing hits for others but not yet successful as a performer. The guy Nelson wrote the song for didn’t want it. He said it was “a girl’s song”. I guess Patsy Cline proved him right.

I love this song. Got to play it in my living room with Willie himself. That was a treat and boy can that guy play and smoke the herb like a boss.
Man that's awesome! I've been saying for years if I could hang out with any famous person it would be Willie Nelson. For so many reasons.
