What I'm about to say is going to make absolutely no sense to anyone else but me. This song makes me so angry, so angry I want to throw my computer out the window. Its so beautiful, its so catchy, the lyrics are so brilliant I can't believe I'm lucky enough to be listening to this for the tenth time (as I'm writing this). As out-of-this-world talented as @pedromrmourato and @paulobassman are along with their never-ending cohort of phenomenal artists, one of the most beautiful things about all of them is that each of them seems truly down-to-earth and authentically grounded! This week, they called upon a friend of theirs, Juame Pradas, to join them in yet another impassioned display of musical brilliance and artistry. This trio’s performance of “Durmiendome” is infectious, full, tight, moving, and simply amazing for a three-piece acoustic act! - @passion-ground
*The creative powerhouse from the land of the Lusitans is not ready to slow down, not in the slightest and for this week's entry they have recruited an exquisitely talented singer/percussionist from the land to the west. I absolutely loved the performance guys, the groove was right in the pocket where it belongs and the vocals shined with ease. - @meno

Without fail, you extremely talented guys, @paulbassman, @pedromrmourato and Jaume Pradas present another snappy and appealing tune that picks up the pace from the very first resounding beat and guitar strum. Jaume Pradas' skilled melodies, percussionist-styled vocals and memorable chorus sections was just the right amount of style, even with those jazz/soul run insertions, it all came together so smoothly. The transitions were exquisitely executed, especially that minor breakdown in tempo from 3:03 to 3:37. You had a lot of energy to give and this new approach was unexpected and refreshing. You show us how to captivate a crowd and keep the engagement at a high level as professional artists, and every entry you give us is such a musical treat and raises the bar each time. I may be a tiny biased with this choice since I love this song already quite enough. To my defense I will say that @silentscreamer not only performed it to a degree that can warm even a vampire's heart, but the violin playing had so much emotion that It spoke just as loud as her gorgeous vocals. - @meno

It took a lot of weeks but im back. Cant thank everyone that voted for me enough.
But its not just the votes. The feedback you guys give just gives you chills. Im really not used to it yet, usually theyll say, "the orchestra was good, it was bad, it was mediocre" but reading what you guys write about the artist individually is a whole other thing.

Maybe i have a bit more accented competitive side then some to my detriment :D, but thats just one of the things that propels me forward every week, making me want to do more, sing better, play better, put more work into my videos. Really anything i do.
Im fully on-board with the initiative and support it completely. Its just who i am.
Hope that wont be seen as selfishness or in a negative light since i really do want the best for everyone and the platform as a whole, towards which i try and put in as much as i can.

When I joined open mic, I wanted to win every single time lol and I entered a ridiculous 42 weeks consecutively or something like that from the beginning. The competitiveness is a healthy aspect of our music community. But our previous selves are our competitors and not truly anyone else. I can't wait to outdo my newest performance with a new one. And yes, we do compete with our old selves, but openmic is a competition and we do compete with each other. I know thats maybe controversial but its really the truth.
When i made my last cover i competed with Elton John of all people... Competition isnt bad as long as you respect your opposition.
When ever i make anything i want to win. I want to hit trending, i want to win first prize and i want that for everyone else when i think they made something great. I mean i gave out at least 30 curies in my time as curator and i was as proud with them getting it as i am when i get rewarded.
I just cant, its really not in my blood to say i dont want to win, that im just in it for the good time.
Congrats @silentscreamer. You completely deserve it. Your violin sound is stunning, as I told you before. I come from Esatern Europe and I can tell it's "our" sound, no violin or other string instrument can sound like this in another part of the world. It's like the "flamenco sound" of guitare, only in Spain you can hear that.
As for the competition thing I understand you, I come from the same educational system in Eastern Europe as you and I am professional musician, I now what "fight" is. This is very different when you pay the bills and you put food on the table working as a musician. But here it's about human connection and sharing and I am glad I found you. Congrats and all the best !
