Hello all, here we are at another week of Open Mic almost done and dusted - I am struggling to believe were at week 79 already, this is just so amazing and I never want to see the end.

You guys have again stepped it up, showing us new facets to your performing styles and it's been so much fan to watch you all show us the amazing thing's you can create.

I love hearing all the entries and best yet I love seeing all the comments from other Open Mic entrants on post's, it is such an amazing feeling seeing this community supporting one an other in such a way - it makes our little musical family something truly amazing and unique!

I have spent the last two days rearranging my placements, I struggle most with the final choices - it isn't helped when my shortlist contains around 50 entries I think could make the grade, then it comes down to finding anything that can set one entry apart from the others.

I try to ensure the best each week get displayed, but with so many brilliant entries some are always going to be missed - so I wanted to say you guys should all be so proud of the amazing contributions you share each week, you make Open Mic what it is.

Without you guys we wouldn't have a contest to judge, so a massive thank you for all that you give to us - it is always such an honour and privilege, I and so grateful to be here with you sharing in this unique and magnificent journey.

So without further delays and me rambling on too much, let's just jump on into it - here is my top 5 selection for this week's Open Mic.

1st Place - @paulobassman - You've been there

What a brilliant entry, a truly moving song that I had to include in my selection this week - I love the way you have structured the song it just works beautifully.

The playing is spot on and the combination of the strings and vocals works to create a sublime moving piece of music, just an amazing song I really enjoyed listening to multiple times - I really like the overall feel the song creates and the way you brought all the elements together brilliantly.

I have to make a special note on the vocals, I just couldn't get enough of them - the range and control are just perfection, I really enjoyed every aspect of this entry.

I am stoked that you have joined us, we keep getting new waves of insane talents and I am so glad you guys were a part of it this week - I truly look forward to hearing more from all of you in the future!

2nd Place - @vera.carla - Just my luck

Wow lovely I just can never get enough of your voice, this entry was just perfection for me - after countless listens I found myself singing my heart out with you.

This song is beautiful and sad and deep, it made me feel things man I just wanna give you hug a really - I love your music, your playing and above all else your singing just get's me every single time.

My little boy was just enthralled by your singing, he sat next to me staring at you play - even closing his eyes and swaying for a while, think you took him place's too!

I am sorry you find yourself in this emotional place of turmoil, you conveyed the lack of control perfectly - I really enjoyed this song and as always I look forward to hearing more from you.

3rd Place - @danieldyemusic - Gonna Need a Witness

Man I just love the feel of this music so much, you guys put on such an epic performance - you create a full sound, filled with texture and emotion it's just perfect.

I have been enjoying all the music you have submitted over the weeks, you never let us down - this music just creates an amazing atmosphere, there's always a positive vibe that comes through it.

The playing is sublime and the vocals just bring it all together beautifully, music like this is just hard to find in such brilliant quality - so thank you so much for sharing this and I so look forward to hearing more from you all soon.

3.5 Place - @mariajruizb - O mio babbino caro

When I heard this I knew I had to include it in my selection, as a vocalist I was enthralled by your performance - I love to sing and have myself dabbled in Opera from time to time, so when I see it executed with such extravagant precision I just had to say something.

Just wow really, I know how hard it can be to hit those super high notes and you did it with such grace and control it was utter perfection - the power in your vocals were divine, as was the way in which you chose the moments to tap into that power.

You have an immense talent and this entry just blew me away, we have some seriously talented artists on this platform and you are one of them for sure - it takes so long to hone one's skills to pull of a performance like this and you nailed it in every way possible.

I have to say, the only issue was with the camera struggling to handle the sheer power of your vocals and to me it just showed how amazing your voice truly is - I really look forward to hearing more from you soon.

4th Place - @dannyhamilton - I’m Going Home

What a beautiful song, the strings just take it to whole other level for me - I loved this entry and song so much I had to include it in my top 5.

Just a sublime performance, I could feel you feeling it and you conveyed it perfectly - the vocals tell the story beautifully and those harmonies were just divine.

I really enjoyed this entry so much, just a beautifully structured song - performed to exquisite perfection, I really couldn't hear enough of it.

As I just couldn't get this out of my head, I truly hope to hear more from you all soon - this was just a brilliant and I enjoyed it oh so much.

5th Place - @gonetroppo - The Drifter

I couldn't skip over this entry even though I placed them last week, I simply couldn't not recognise how beautifully brilliant this entry is - I loved every single second of it.

The dual guitar creates a unique full sound filled with beautiful textures and emotions, not to mention the sublime and divine harmonies - this is just next level beautiful.

There is so much emotion conveyed through the music alone, the lyrics reflect the feel of the music and create such a blissful experience for the listener.

Just a brilliant entry and performance, not sure I will ever get over those amazing harmonies - I really can't wait to hear more from you guys, you have made a big impact so far and I'm curious to see what else you have in store for us.

Just wow people's, each week I am blown away by the talent we have on hand - but you guys just keep stepping it up time and time again, I am so lucky to get to listen to all this brilliant music each week.

You guys are amazing musicians, you have helped to create an amazing community that just keeps growing - the funny thing is no matter how much it keeps growing, we keep seeing more and more talent come through.

I have loved so many entries from Open Mic entries, each week I hear new songs and music that really impacts the world and lives of those engaging with it - you make this more fun than anyone should be able to say about their job, each week I am just amazed by what I hear and see.

I love you guys so much, a massive thank you from me for all that you do - I can't wait to see what people perform for us next week, so keep it up you're all doing amazing!

On the note of the community I thought I'd take a moment to mention that, over at the minnow support program on our discord chat room Peace Abundance and Liberty - the recently revitalised music room has been getting rather active lately.

As well as the recent burst of activity, we have also added a jukebox to the room - so now when you're chatting with people in the music room, you can choose and play music from youtube (this includes open mic entries, I may have already played a couple I really enjoyed).

So far I have seen a few open mic regulars hanging out and about on the PAL chat rooms, now we have a place where we can actively share music live with people were chatting with - this can help musicians in so many ways, not to mention it's just fun to hang out and chat over and about good tunes.

In addition to the new music room Peace Abundance and Liberty chat rooms have a lot to offer, you can access bots to vote on your posts, you can also meet and interact with over 5000 steemians in the channel - this can be a very useful resource to new steemians, but is also a fantastic place to meet and interact with like minded individuals on many different topics.
