Steemit Open Mic Week 75 - Original Song - Away From Home

Hey guys! Here is my submission for Open Mic Week 75. It's an original song called, "Away From Home".

When I wrote this song several years ago, I was in the middle of a bunch of different projects, so it was never really promoted anywhere or heard by anyone other than a few select people. This has always been one of my favorite songs of mine though, so I'm really excited to share it with all of you!

This song is written from the perspective of a young, small-town nobody who is moving to "The Big City" (Hollywood/New York/where ever) to try make it big as an actor/musician/whatever. However, leaving behind everyone they love in order to pursue their dreams of fame and fortune takes a harder toll on them than they had first expected.
