Open Letter to the world
Hi, my name is Nuno Lopes!
I think it’s time we all are honest with each other.
We have politics in order to organize and fight for our beliefs and ourselves…
We got military because we do sometimes need actually to fight to defend our stance…
And we have all sorts of excuses, to justify all sorts of abuse over others.
We also have people, that they don’t want to have to think and make decisions about things.
They just want the easy way out of it, so they can buy shoes, cars, get laid, get drunk, travel that amazing place, or simply get food to eat, and so on…
If they don’t get some or all of it, some will try harder, some will give up, and some… will find all kinds of excuses to justify their failure to get what think they deserve…
But before I go…
let me say that I’m no saint!
And I do acknowledge that.
Still, in life, we need to make choices…
And Sometimes, we do not always manage to do things the way we want, and that comes whit a price…
For those I failed before, believe me, I didn’t forget about it! But being pushed from several ways, I had to make what it was for me some tough decisions at the time. And we are where we are today… Still believe me when I say, that I do want to make it right!
Still, if there is something I believe in, and the ones that know me, know that, is freedom! And that, with freedom comes power, and with those comes a big responsibility!…
In life, we take one of two sides: One of these is, either we pretend that all that goes around us doesn’t exist, or it’s too far or too big for us to handle and make a difference, or any other excuse we can find, to do nothing!…
This comes with the risk of being subdued sooner or later, but makes a good strategy if you want to live a life in “peace”… but you still need to get lucky…The other side is, we step in, stand for what we believe, and we “put our money where we put our mouth”! Not leaving anything to chance and standing in when someone in the street is beating up his wife or husband when someone uses any kind or sort of violent, racist, or whatever it may be, that goes against the individual freedom of all of us. By doing so, we risk it all and step in! And we do our best to try to help and make that difference. No matter how small it might seem!
One thing about the political drama in the last months/years is that, as hard as it is to swallow, there are mean people, bad people, people that don’t care about others. They do exist!!!
There are people that use faith, race, and a mentality that, they are better than others for any given reason, and they are and were always there!!!
It was just that they’ve been hidden, behind good manners and a fake smile, coz they didn’t feel support and some still don’t…
They are so sleazy, that they know for themselves, just how bad they are! How they go against all that they tell themselves that is peace, good, god and faith, and freedom and fairness!
They know they are bad guys inside! And guess what, they “fucking love it” deep down inside!They know all this and more! That’s why they need to feel backed up in order to come out of their holes and show their fangs… like they “started” doing now.
Another thing that needed to be shown is that these bad guys, these racist and Hippocratic demagogues, they were and are everywhere in the world!
They are in all countries, and they have all kinds of faiths, all skin colors, some are fat, some are slim, some tall, some short, some are women, some are men, some even are your friends… It doesn’t matter… They were and are everywhere.
Before, they didn’t felt empowered to say what they really think, now they are starting to feel it and finally coming out of the box!And while that seems a bad thing, because we have people blunting stating things that, not just seem racist, xenophobe, using religion to justify silencing, hurting, raping, murdering others and all other kinds of torture, violence, and disrespect and so on. But It is not!It’s good!It’s a good thing and I have to say I love it!!!
It’s not a bad thing, because, now we start to have a better view of who they are, where they were hiding, which flags, which logos, which organizations they strive in and use as a cover.
In all things, we can choose to see the threat or the opportunity!I choose the opportunity!!!
And the opportunity here is that we can start to get a better view of what some people really are!We get to know the enemy!
We also get a better view in which media front they are, in which position in the ladder of power they reached, and who helped them get there… and stay there!
This gives us all power! The power not to buy from them, cutting on their economic resources, the power to focus our resources, energy, actions, policies, and all the rest on what we need to do, to fight for a better world.
And the power to fight back for what we believe in!
Knowing who, what, when, and where the threats are coming from!
So fight for freedom and liberty!!!
Fight for a better and fair world!!!
If not for you, for your children!
I am against violence, and I am not appealing to it!
I do not believe we should have to resort to it!
Still, if someone hits you in the face, you should not always give the other side!
Sometimes we do need to stand and fight, because “they” are ready and willing to do so!
If not on the battlefield, on the train when they insult someone…And when I say they, I mean not just the ones that are racist and use that as an excuse to do bad and cause riots and kill, burn cars and destroy buildings, but also the ones on the other side of that same situation that are angry because that happened and do exactly the same thing… and all the other with all the excuses they use to spread harm and destruction around them…
There has to be balance, and if we resort to that, we are no much better than them!
Before I finish this open letter to the world, I would like to say that I understand if you don’t comment, or even share this… I can understand, maybe that you got something to lose or you just have a different view on things, and maybe you even support the current trend… or you are just too afraid to publicly state your mind on it for any given reason…
And with this, I’m not saying this is an act of courage…
This is what I am, and like many of those who actually know me, “I’m a bit crazy”, and I guess that, what they say as some truth in it, you do need to be a bit crazy too…
Crazy to dream with a better world and to fight for your beliefs, knowing that there are consequences…But you know what!?
There’s always consequences!
Action, reaction or inaction!
They have the same value!
Coz any of them as consequences!
There’s always a consequence!
It’s up, to you to decide
Who you wanna be!
If you want to do nothing and live up to others to decide your future
If you wanna, wait and see…
And react to whatever comes to be……
And hope for the best
Or if
…you want to take your destiny, In your one hands!!!
And act!!!
So, to you and everyone else!
Either you are ready or not!
Either you like it or not!
Either you’re willing or not!
Because this is what life is all about!
Your chance to live!
Your chance to make a difference!!!!
Is now!!!
When we are young, we think the world is too big…
And that scares us.
And we are told and programmed to follow.
To obey and to keep the status quo.
And we think we have time…
Then life happens!
Bill’s to pay, trips to do,
Mouths to feed and all the things
that takes our time to think!
In favor of time for tasks.
Tasks that take over our life
and burn you up like a candle.
Then one day you realize,
You’ve been lied to
And you can make a difference
But by then you already feel
That you got too much to loose
That by working on change
“The system” will crash you
And your family will suffer!
Your job will suffer!
You will suffer!
Coz they are consequences!
And you feel powerless again…
If nothing else…
Just talk with someone!
Spread the word that “you can”!
You can make it!
You can make a difference!
No matter how big or small you feel right now,
Just by reading this,
an idea is already building in your head!
And an idea is like a seed, it grows!!!
So reach out!!!
Spread the word that you can do it!!!
So more understand their power!
Let’s jumpstart this thing!!!
Maybe what the world needs is that you
Believe in this idea!
And spread it just to one person more!
Imagine, this small thing!
One by one!
You and the one you tell this “secret”
In a wave that reaches out
And takes the collective mind!
You can make this happen!
You are already part of this.
Not because you’re reading this,…
But because you’re alive!!!
Here and now!
So…This is it!
Either you stand up for what you believe in,
Or you don’t!
Simple as that!
Either you do it or don’t do it, others will!
…Some already started as you can see…
Now it’s up to you!
There are no alternative facts!
The facts are that: You and your children
And children’s children
Will endure the outcome
Whatever it is!
It’s up to you to choose that outcome!
It’s up to you to build the future!
Whatever you decide……
Do even small things, with great love!
