MY ONE YEAR ON STEEMIT- THE JOURNEY SO FAR
How time flies and it is One year already. It was January 31st I registered an account on Steem and it took 5 days days before the first yungchief got accepted on the blockchain. What a glorious discovery. I was by a friend turned brother @jacobite
I got to know jacobite through another friend @wales007 and he introduced me to him because I needed someone who could design a website and also teach me on how to use to blogger. We got close while we blogged for months and we got nothing and all my hopes of getting approved by Google Adsense was squanched and earned nothing from it. I was faraway for my National Youth Service to my nation when I got a call from jacobite telling me about steemit and told me I could earn from it, if I dedicate my time to it. I complained of not having money for transport and behold he sent money to cover that and left the next day to Abuja to gain proper knowledge on steem.
I attended an Abuja meetup organised by @xpency, @fatherfaith, @jacobite, @chiama and @anjiba and that was the first time I got to lectured by @ejemai, @ehiboss, @fisteganos, @nairadaddy, @destinysaid, @michaelcj, @gbenga. I got the undiluted truth about steemit from different quarters and that was just the motivaation I needed, seeing people who had achieved a great height. Ehiboss spoke of the need to have a niche and something that works for you and he said his own Niche was noise making. I picked that because I could relate to that easily.
I gather all the information in my head and when I got home, I made a post about it and that was the first post I made $6. Wow, I said to myself. I am definitely in the right place.

Afterwards, i heard of communities like @wafrica and @steemjet. All I wanted was to get in and discovered @lordjames manages the both communities. I went back to Abuja to stay with jacobite for few days so we can be able to meet lordjames to get insight. On our way to see him, I got an idea to interview lordjames which I did eventually. I showed it to @dimimp as a comment on his post. Few hours later, I and jacobite got a response, you have employed. I couldn't get into wafrica cos they was no more space and I settled for Steemjet. Boom! This was where I met the milk that was drilled from the land of Canaan.
Then later in the year, attended steemcamp at Warri and there got to know another set of lovely steemians
From the left @prettyjules158, @uche-nna, @gloxypearl and lordjames.
During Steemit in Nigeria, met a whole lots more
@Thedamus has been great and got my first gold which he sent to me on a contest I won
The journey started with a lot of people, some fell along the way, it became boring for some and others quitted but I am among few who refuse to give up. We are still here strong, growing, getting better and the journey continues.
I want to thank everyone who made my one year on steemit a great one.
