Magnificent #MonochromeMonday Y'all
I Hope You All Have Had a Nice Monday
Today was the best Monday I have had in forever!!
The Swans have been gathering right by the dock every evening now. They do it every year. They seem to have their heads underwater more than above water, eating away at the seaweed. Just like bears and squirrels, the swans must be trying to fatten up in preparation for winter. I have had the tendency to do the same before, but not this year!
Could Use a Splash of Paint
This old hydrant could use a fresh coat of paint. He is kind of like me, old and weathered, but still hanging in there!
Just the Top of a Wire Picnic Table
School Buildings
Kind of Cool Abstract
Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful photos! and the one of the swans is very lovely, you are lucky to be able to capture that moment.
Thanks. Swans are so pretty!
School buildings image is my pick, I like the symmetric lines and the crispness, nice collection!!!
Thanks. Much appreciated.
Oh, I wanted to be different, but, then I always loved the cool kids. so I can also say that I loved the mesh table, except, I really did like it! You do mono so well and I wanted to know if I could ask you what you use for your editing?
I really love the vibrancy of color, but, there is no denying that it takes an awesome photo to stand up to the black and white.
Which you have done. Very nicely. Have a great Tuesday, Paul. Gosh, I really wanted to call you Mike. :)
I have Photoshop, but didnt use it on any of these. Because of the way they work their license, you can only have it on 2 computers, and I work off of more than that... So these were done on GIMP which is free, open source and very good.

OK I will be your Mike. It can be my alter ego! Now I need a pet name for you...hmm... ;)
I burst out laughing when I read that! :) If you name me after one of your pets..... ;) Kidding. I kid! I know what you meant! And talk about smart? I have no voting power and I just voted on my own post.... eyeroll
LOL I know you do know how to kid. That is what is so awesome about you. You can have a laugh! Some people take themselves a bit too seriously.
Tsk tsk a self upvoter LOL
I know, right? It would have been worse if it was worth something! :)
This is awesome.... More of it from you dude.
I love the swans and the old hydrant!
What is this abstract thing actually?
The abstract was a dried flower that I used "Threshold" on Gimp to edit. I like that effect sometimes.

BTW I followed you and hope for some English posts LOL!!
Oh that's really cool! It looks like etching-techniques in old books I think!
Yah, well. I'm sorry for that but it takes ages to write articles in German and because I need to look up a lot of words for English articles it would be an eternal task... :-D
No worries. I actually read your whole metal festival post by copy and pasting it into Google Translate.
When you are chatting like this, are you looking up words??
Sure, it's not my mother tongue :-D
I had to look up "etching" and "pitchfork" for example....
Are you able to understand what Google Translator tells you then?
Oh yeah for sure. Google translator seems to do a good job. It might not be able to translate slang, but it did good on your post I pasted in.
Very good!
Are you sure you don't work in PR? When you can even make the top of a wire Picnic Table look good - maybe you should!
Thanks for the kind words my friend!
I like the swans. Yes, I guess they would have to fatten up for the winter.
Love the wired picnic table. I want to run my fingers over it like a weirdo
Hey we are all weirdos! Ill join you lol.
Very nice shots!Swans and the old hydrant are my favourite;)
Love that wire picnic table! They are all great. You using Photoshop for the black and white'ing'?
Sometimes, Boom, but these were done in the free program called GIMP.
Ah that's right, I have used that. They are spot on
