The Last Of Us II| Here's to those that dislikes due to the main Protagonist

Now on to my point... I am sick to the damn teeth of seeing people rant and rave about the fact Naughty Dog have chosen to include homosexual and transgendered characters in their games. Seriously!
Let me tell you a story about a young girl who was born in a word that had become overrun by a fatal infection that had killed most of the population and turned a large portion of the survivors into flesh eating “zombie” like monsters.
She gets bit when she is 14 years old and thinks that’s her done for until she realises she is immune.
She meets a man tasked with taking her across the country to a team of medical Dr’s who want to examine her to try and find a cure. Initially they dislike each other and he sees her as a burden that shouldn’t be his to bare. Over time they bond and this man eventually comes to view her as a daughter, having lost his own daughter 20 years earlier when the infection first broke out.
When they arrive at the medical facility he discovers they intend to remove her brain to study her immunity, thus killing her. He chooses her over humanity and decides to free her from the hospital, killing anybody in his way.
This brings about major consequences 4 years down the line which results in a tragic loss for this young girl who’s lost everyone she ever cared for and these events result in her going on another country wide quest to enact revenge on those who have wronged her.
By the way, this girl is a lesbian.
If the only thing you focus on in that story is the last line.
