Racism still exists?

in #ocd4 years ago

After having a black president in other terms African- American. President Obama stood as a symbol of dying racism in America. who knew that the roots of racism are deeply rooted in some parts of the nation and would emerge out some day or other.
Specifically not to be blaming every citizen of united nations because considering the fact that racism and revolt against it held by citizens of same nation. which proves that good and bad goes hand in hand.

Rip to George Floyd and to all those people who lost their life in hue of racist attack!
It's been few days and the protest is still on. I didn't wanted to write about it but now I really do and not only America but many other nations too suffer bad. The plight is unheard mostly but yea people like you and I can be a reason for vanishing the barrier which wasn't made while we were born.

Considering the fact of social distancing and the pandemic, it is really risky to protest in bulk. I understand the feelings of the people who united for a cause but I can just hope that a good cause should not turn into some bad happenings.
Hope every thing settle down soon.

Well, racism can never be fully squashed but when the response to one person (that cop) doing something that appears racist - and we don't have any idea if he would have been just as aggressive or not with a white guy - is to steal and burn and destroy things at random... that isn't helping race relations at all. The government response is simply going to be to have more control and less freedom. Plus those cities that normally had nice storefronts are all going to install riot proof doors now kind of like how we have in Thailand and that is just ugly.

You are right! I agree we are not well versed with the reality from both the sides.
