OCD DAILY - Issue #157

Welcome to the 157th issue of @OCD Daily!

Issue #157 highlights content from ten (10) Steemit Content Creators! The OCD team continues it's search throughout Steemit to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.

Today our curators, under our fearless leader, @acidyo, have found you ten new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are provided by newer Steemit users, that may not have the audience which their quality content deserves. @OCD strives to help provide that audience, and intends to showcase Steemit users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.

The nomination process

A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users), within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @ocd team, votes tallied and the pieces with the most votes are placed into the compilation.

We encourage you to visit these blogs and to show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.

If you enjoyed their work give them a Follow or maybe even say Hello!

All of the content as chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is seen as universally appreciated and valued making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.

Our top nomination today is from @exploreand, nominated by @jznsamuel, and is a unique take on content creation. They speak about finding their voice on Steemit prior to traveling, and meditation, including their reason for meditating.

The Connection between Unique Content Creation and Meditation

@spirits4you was nominated by @guyfawkes4-20 for this post describing a favorite tipple, Hennessy Fine de Cognac. From the bottle to the design of the label, and finally onto the smell and taste of the Cognac, @spirits4you makes it abundantly clear this is a winner.

@m31 nominated @sheagar for this slightly different art post. This piece was created to cheer up a friend and shows the process the artist went through. It certainly cheered up the @ocd curators.

Vomiting cat

The temperature in the UK is freezing at present, but this post from @grottbags certainly warmed me up. Nominated by @saywha, this is a travel post about a day's adventure in Thailand. It includes some great photography.

@ashleykalila nominated another art post, this time from @miyabi. The artist shows the process from sketch, through to line drawing, underpainting and finally full color. The vivid red was inspired by a photograph of cluster amaryllis.

Cluster amaryllis: daily painting No 43.

@jajdgenius was chosen by @futurethinker for this heartbreaking story about contracting the AIDS virus during the only time they had intercourse. Not only has it impacted their health, but also ruined a glittering future after graduating at the top of the class with an award of a scholarship for a Masters degree.

@michelleloh168 is a new Steemian with an awesome voice. She was nominated by @howtostartablog for this post, in which she sings a cover of 'Never Enough' from The Greatest Showman's soundtrack. Great job Michelle.

Another cover from The Greatest Showman maybe?

@elteamgordo has chosen a travel post by @joleenwillis to nominate. Joleen was fortunate to win a contest on Instagram. Together with her sister, she visited the Chilean Andes, taking some spectacular photographs.

@anomadsoul's nomination is this post from @aussiesteem in which a great migration of Christmas/New Year holiday makers their way south to the Gold Coast. This mass of travellers is compared to herds of wildebeest stretched across the Serengeti, annually snaking their way south to indulge their obsession to seek out sun, sand and surf.

@uber-dragon is a brand new Steemian who's #introduceyourself post was nominated by @ma1neevent. His real name is Martin and he is from Frankfurt, Germany. He is a big fan of animation and video games. He is also a creator - digital artist and programmer who speaks German, English and is now learning Japanese. Let's give him a warm welcome.

This concludes today’s edition of the OCD Daily. We would like to congratulate the authors nominated as well as those featured.
We hope you were able to take away something different, fresh, and new from these content posts, as provided by the @ocd curators.

The OCD team would also like to thank those that strive to make a difference. As anyone can create a posting but only some can create/build value.

Stop by tomorrow for another edition of OCD Daily!

Keep up the great work creating original content.

Thanks for the feature @ocd! This is very encouraging especially for a 1 week newbie like me 😂 I didn't know #ocd-resteem tag exist until someone told me about it. And I'm impressed when I read the cover headline - "Curation Guild for undervalued, quality posts by newcomers". This is so good as it encourages newcomers to keep writing! Thanks once again @ocd :)

I was once chosen to be curated for OCD, that literally helped me to boost my confidence in writing. I am working very hard to produce more travel and food articles on steemit! Thank you so much for your initiative!

Congratulations

I like this movement lot. I wonder was this around in July of 2017, anyhoo, whoever came up with this idea of giving the newbies a extra push is just genius!

Congratulations on a very nice work :)
