How I made the Mural painting of the Municipality of Tupi
I just had another one night stand last night and made love, not with a woman. But, a wall. This time, I made something out of my home town. A mural painting presentation of the Municipality of Tupi, South Cotabato, Philippines.
Tupi is a small town in South Cotabato Philippines, which can be found between General Santos City and Koronadal City, both are part of Region 12 in the Philippines. Famous for having Mt. Matutum as it's landmark and known to be as the fruit basket of the South. In Tupi, we also have this tourist spot which is the Blooming Petals. A flower farm which also famous on growing numerous sunflowers. Good for picture taking and quite a nice place to relax and enjoy the taste of nature.
Aside from that, Tupi also has this tarsier sanctuary, home to many tarsiers which people try ti protect and preserve.
Anyways, this are just the famous emblems of Tupi. Now, we all have these figures, I wanted to put it all in one mural piece. With all that being said, let's proceed with the process.
Here was the sketch prior to the painting process:
Note: all paints used are Waterbased Acrylic/Latex Paints.
Started off with applying base paint (cream) on the sketch I made on the wall.
I wanted My design to be quite feiry, reddish or something aggressive. So, I made a color scheme that runs between red, orange, yellow and brown. When all paints are mixed up. I quickly started filling the piece.
Now, that all colors are completely in place. Let's now go with the outlines.
I think we're all good to go, let's now put this into sharing.
That'll be all for today guys! Please support and follow me through my art journey. This is @ianceaz saying thanks for dropping by. Until next time. Peace!
