Why does occult (Magick) work?
What is occult?
The word “Occult” is often associated with magic. The pursuant of such art often assert that it not only work but also the depths of occult can be measured using a whole different occult(less known) scale. So is occult magic (or magick)? From my view point, occult is a mixture of the super set of both Science (known and unknown) and Spirituality.
We are living in an age of technology but most of the scientific discoveries were made way before most of us were ever born. All the principles were observed and experimented upon and they were cautiously documented. I mean if we actually look into the “science” we will realize it’s nothing but observation of bunch of scientists documented in countless piece of paper. However, “the science” as we know is not complete but rather scattered into a million different ideas, observations and documentation. A lot is missing in between. Like I said before we cannot exactly document all the micro and macro events to the precision of +-0 error. Although a lot got documented but also there is still so much that left undiscovered in between the discoveries of known science.
Whenever that skipped out part comes to surface that’s where people discover the occult aspect of life. Magic (or magick) is one such science that got skipped by design in the earlier centuries.
But does occult work?
Now the question arises does occult work and if it does then why? Well the answer is quite obvious, If you visualize the Universe as some container of all that exists you will realize that everything that is currently happening, has ever happened in the past or would happen in the future is contained within the infinite bound of Universe. What exists on some deeper, higher level of existence has a potential to happen, what doesn’t happen would never have a potential to ever happen.
Occult is merely the understanding of what happens and what doesn’t happen and a very rough mechanism to describe how it can happen. Now, there is an interesting relationship between occult and science. At time, occult can integrate science within itself as science is the factual and provable form of occult in a broader sense, doesn’t matter if it is covert or overt science.
Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome has treasure of occult literature preserved in their libraries. The spells, the rituals, the ceremonies each has it’s own unique mechanism to trigger something that our minds cannot quite understand even to this day.
