Hello stemmians I have had a lot of work these last days together with my life partner @arrozymangophoto we made a documentary about a subject that I am very passionate about.

Senegal and Venezuela share the history of slavery. I have enjoyed this work as an audiovisual producer, especially for recognizing myself in it as a Venezuelan and for its historical value.

I have always been proud to carry black resistance blood and Indian warriors. All Venezuelans are full of mixes.

More than 300 years ago we lived the brutal invasion of Spain to the American continent, this not only left marks in this continent, also Africa was violated, with the kidnapping of black Africans, they were torn from their territory, the suits even America against their will and sold as slaves.

Since then their parents waited for them on African lands, saying that one day they would return.

Hopefully we will meet them and see them again.

Now, after so much time in search of the Afro-descendant cultural roots of Venezuela, a cultural exchange is taking place where it is discovered that through music, those fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, brothers, sisters, who were torn from their families were always here and were in charge of leaving markets from generation to generation the musical codes, which today without speaking the same language, are repeated to the beat of drums, with the same language that these ancestors left.

In the middle of the filming, I got to know Senegal's culture and people. We shared a lot with Ndiaga Dieng, known as Miller, who is a Griot, son of a percussionist and composer, Babacar Dieng who runs the NGO Sounds of Africa.

The Griot are in charge of maintaining the tradition and history is transmitted from generation to generation through music and trova.

The NGO Sounds of Africa of Senegal represented by musician Babacar Dieng and the Fundación Grupo Madera of Venezuela, led by the musician and teacher Noel Marquez, strengthen ties of cooperation to achieve recognition in the history that both countries share through cultural enrichment.
