Nvidia Tesla V100 is the best independent graphic map for mining

in #nvidia7 years ago

Nvidia has one of the best independent graphics cards on the market. The Tesla V100 costs up to $ 8,000 and is not intended for gamers or most standard users. The graphics card is intended for workstations and servers, for AI and deep learning, and strictly (of course) is not intended for mining.

However, this does not prevent people from testing these graphic maps and mining crypts. Thus, BuriedONE Cryptomining has employed the Nvidia Tesla V100 model in various cryptographic tasks. Ethereum mining has thus reached 94MH / s, which is a fantastic result compared to the overclocked TITAN Xp model that reaches 40-42MH / s or overclocked Radeon RX Vega 64 model that reaches 38-42MH / s.

The Tesla V100 with its new dedicated tensor cores was mainly designed for deep learning. However, since memory has always been the greatest bottleneck in GPU computing, the major performance boost of almost all applications is due to the new stacked memory DRAM used for the Tesla P100, V100 and Titan V models which provide transfer rates of up to 900 GB/s (compared to <400 GB/s for GDDR5X memory modules).

If you take a close look at the numbers you can see that the hashrate speedup roughly resembles the increased memory transfer rate.
