Nutcracker. The second part of the illustration

Good day to all!
Today I want to show the second half of my New Year's illustration with a nutcracker.
I drew with markers on the other half of the square sketchbook reversal.

1. At first, I thought the compositional component of the illustration and drew the contours with a pencil.
2. Began to paint over from the central figure of the picture - the fireplace.
   I painted pebbles on the fireplace using beige shades, umber for shadows and yellow shades for half-shades and shading of color transitions.
   Along the way, painted over the continuation of the luminous window with yellow color and its frames and curtains on the side - with a dark orange shade.
   With yellow color marked the fire in the fireplace, began to paint the fireplace decoration - Christmas wreaths.
3. Fully painted the picture with all colors used. Added volume in gray shades.
   Painted ornaments (Christmas wreaths), used green and yellow shades, painted Christmas flowers in wreaths and ornaments in red.
   In the fireplace, I painted the texture of the brickwork, painted the burning firewood, fire, heightened the depth with dark gray and black colors, showing perspective.
4. The upper part of the picture is dimmed with a gray marker that shows the nature of the lighting in the room. Items near the fireplace are lit, everything else is in the shade.
5. At the final stage I increased the volume and contrast of the pattern, and emphasized the details with a dark gray liner. Added light reflexes with white pen. My illustration is ready.
   I wrote this story for one contest on Instagram and the picture took one of the top places.
