Fake New World

It’s been a while ago, but in the tradition of “Fractured Fairy Tales” (#IYKYK) we presented a version of Chicken Little, that went a little something like this.

Something fell from the sky and hit Chicken Little on the head. “The sky is falling,” she shrieked. She scurried around the farm, her cries falling on deaf ears. That is until she happened upon an enterprising Pig.

“Yes, indeed,” Pig reassured Chicken Little, “the sky is falling. You must protect yourself.” The Pig quickly fashioned a useless head cover for the chicken chicken.

Through a clever propaganda campaign, media blitz and sloganeering, the entire farm came to believe that the sky was falling, and “for the protection of them selves and others” it was eventually made mandatory that every animal on the farm own anti-sky debris gear, (which came in dazzling patterns and colors, so many animals owned multiple gear.) Further, it was then decided that every animal must hold a skyfall prevention insurance policy.

Not all of the farm animals were as gullible as Chicken Little, but their neighs, and barks, and hoots were suppressed. It was further decided that those of the herd that did not purchase the insurance policy would be fined. This was because it was decided that those critters that didn’t wear & own anti-skyfall insurance, were placing their neighbors at risk.

In a similar fashion, a handful of these Tech-Bros that grew up watching sci-FICTION anime & comic books, believe that that biotech, space weapons stuff is real. They’ve convinced the G to invest your (spirit energy) money into these fantasies.

That’s what we’re talking about in two parts, starting today. Maybe we’ll update the Frazzled Fairy Tale, (fractured is taken) in future episodes. Maybe we’ll even let AI animate it. Ha ha.
