A day in the life : Day 278
Woke up a bit later than I meant to, but I didn’t fight it. Some mornings just take longer to begin. I made some tea, sat quietly for a while, and let the day start without pulling me into anything too fast.
I spent the first half of the day sorting through files — old project folders, half-written code, notes that didn’t lead anywhere. It felt good to clean things up. Deleting what’s not needed anymore creates a kind of mental space, too. It’s like making room for something new, even if you don’t know what that is yet.
The work I actually had to do wasn’t too intense — a few client emails, some edits on a layout, and a bit of tinkering with a small feature I might release later. No breakthroughs, just steady steps.
Lunch was simple, and I skipped dinner because I wasn’t really hungry. Some days my appetite disappears when I’ve been indoors too long. I’ll try to go for a walk tomorrow, even just around the block. I think my body’s been quietly asking for it.
No calls or texts today. I listened to a bit of ambient music while I worked, which helped keep things soft. The kind of background sound that doesn’t pull you in, just holds the space around you.
Now, winding down, the day feels like it passed through gently. Nothing special, but peaceful. I’ll take that.
