A day in the life : Day 210
Today felt like a slow, gentle exhale. I woke up without an alarm, which is always a good start. Spent a long time lingering in bed, just reading and enjoying the quiet morning.
Around mid-morning, I wandered down to a local bakery and treated myself to a croissant and a coffee. Sat outside and people-watched for a while. It’s amazing how much joy can be found in simple pleasures.
Spent the afternoon working on a puzzle. It was one of those complicated ones with tiny pieces, but I found it incredibly relaxing. It required focus, but it wasn’t stressful.
Lunch was a simple salad, eaten while listening to a podcast. I’ve been meaning to catch up on my podcasts, and this was the perfect opportunity.
In the evening, I met up with a friend for a walk along the beach. The sunset was absolutely stunning. We talked about life, love, and everything in between. It was good to connect and just be present with someone I care about.
Dinner was takeout – sushi, my favourite. We shared it while watching a movie at my friend’s place. Lots of laughter and good conversation.
Finished the night with a cup of herbal tea and a journal entry. I reflected on the day and all the things I’m grateful for.
It was a day without any major plans or obligations, and it was exactly what I needed. Sometimes the best days are the ones where you just allow yourself to be. It felt restorative, like a little reset for the soul.
