Hardwork, Laziness what's youth thought?

So Buhari went to London and said that Nigerian Youths are lazy and man no go hear word from the youths again, abi?
Well to ponder on our dear president's words I wouldn't take away the truth from his words, 'cos there's an iota of truth in those words. Come to think of it, what does it mean for one to be lazy —unwilling to do work. Can we then say that the Nigerian youths are unwilling to do work, to make an effort, no matter how small? I think not, obviously we've got a lot of them, hardworking young entrepreneurs across the nation trying their best to see how they can solve a problem somewhere in the country and achieving success, hence gaining influence....

I still agree with Mr. President in the sense that the percentage of those who actually work hard is far less to the ones I'd tag "lazy".

An argument broke out in my room this morning concerning what our dear president said o. My roommies where like; "what nonsense....", " him that's talking what has his government done for the youths since he came into power? ", " how dare he say such..?", "him no get sense for saying that" and all sorts of abusive words and statements vehemently coming forth from there mouths... Me was just at my own corner na, wetin concern me kwanu... Exams wey I get on Saturday no be beans. At a point I just couldn't resist the temptation of not joining them in that early morning argument o, seriously the thing was electrifying —where Hydrogen ion sees Hydroxide ion(OH) and is pretending not to be interested in the bonding. 😁😁

So I joined the argument o, Iyke was like "the nigeria youths are not lazy, it is the government that have refused to provide the basic necessities that's needed for we youths to progress and make it in life...", Favour not waiting a second jumped in, " they(government) have not provide/created a platform that will help the youth showcase there talents to the world..." So I made a statement, "why would you depend solely on the government to provide everything for you?"

Iyke:"you say??.... What's the work of the government? Is it not to provide all you need to succeed in life?..."
Favour: "...you the mind Timo, the guy no get sense...look at the US, they don't suffer there, food is easy to get, they have all the need; WiFi, standard schools, monthly allowances, etc...because their government have provided it for them...you wey go dy here dy soak otto(garri) day and night back-to-back go dy support Nigerian nonsense government..." As in eh...this argument got personal for those guys o. Me just the try let them know say, I'm not totally in support of Mr president's words o, but I still think this is the first statement he has made with a level of truth in it, for me o...come to think of it, the government already provided all you need as a youth to succeed in life nu. School wey u dy go was established by the government na. So why then would anyone say the government isn't/hasn't created a platform...education is the platform and we're educated so as to harness our hiding potentials... Favour: interrupting as always😒 "you say government did establish schools abi? This one wey u dy now(futo), is it fully equipped with the necessary infrastructure a standard university is meant to have?"... I just off...ehh? So if school no dy up to standard like Harvard or Oxford one can't get education no matter how small? Are we to let the government open schools, put everything a school needs and then, we can now start working out our potentials? Or they're(government) to make provisions for employment immediately after you've gotten this education abi?, true... No wonder he said we're lazy...☹☹ If we keep waiting for government to do 100% of the job, why can't we be termed "lazy" by our government then?

Nigerian youths are really hardworking, honestly speaking. With the right incentives we'll do exploits, but depending solely on the government to provide these incentives will just crash our zeal, bring a state of hopelessness, become a squeaky wheel(complainer), and these will definitely make them(government) tag us LAZY. So I left them with this words " If you depend solely on the government you'll NEVER succeed"....and I ran out, man gats read ooooo... Futo exams no be here.
