We are Nigerian Youths, and we are NOT lazy
Earlier on in the week, commotion struck as we once again witness another speech blunder from our number one citizen during the 25th commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in London Wednesday.
The speech which was supposedly miss-understood or high jacked by mischief makers has made its round on most social media platforms and radio stations, the debate is still on the lips of so many angered Youths and politicians alike.
a part of the speech was
More than 60% of the population is below 30(years), a lot of them haven't been to school and they are claiming that Nigerian is an oil-producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free".
Obviously, there may be a level of truth to the above statement but my case here is:
- shouldn't the President's speech be more centered on promoting the strengths and industry of his people?
- should he not have seized the opportunity to paint a good picture about his country
- was that speech in anyway a representation of our interest to the world.
Let me ask
Or have we forgotten the deaths of some applicants in a stampeed at the "interview " in a stadium?
What about the gainfully employed ones in companies charting new frontiers in the industries?
How about those Nigerian youths doing extremely well in various fields abroad?
What about the young Entrepreneurs making headways without the help of the government?

How about the disruptive set of young and talented minds on the blockchain?
Do you have an idea what the Nigerian youth has achieved and still is achieving with the internet and technology?
SIR, WE ARE NOT LAZY!
Check the statistics, we're one of the smartest set of people on earth!.
After all is there any country that is truly and 100% free of "lazy people"?
or
Has the Government been so proactive enough to get the ''Lazy youth" job opportunities or a conducive business environment?
