SAY SORRY

Dear Steemians

Something happened yesterday at my street. It would been a big fight or say quarrel but "sorry" saved the day. Mere saying sorry did the wonder and I was touched to make this post. A young man was driving past two ladies on a bad road, there was water collection on the road. The man drove into the water with a little speed and the water splashed on one of the ladies so much that she was soaked half way and her cloth was stained badly.

The lady reaction was out of this world, she ran and picked a very big stick and started running to the car. Her friend followed her and they were pouring abusive words on the young man as they ran towards him. This man drove to a safe corner and parked his car and was almost kneeling down and saying "sorry" in fact the only word the man said from the beginning to the end was "sorry, I am sorry", he kept repeating it.

The two ladies stopped and couldnt say anything again. Their anger disappeared and they were almost looking ashamed of themselves. They just say its ok, we are sorry too. And that was it everyone went his or her ways.

Wow, i was amazed so were other passerby who also witnessed the event. Indeed just saying sorry can work wonders. The reason why there is fight and quarrels among us is the inability of the parties involved to say sorry. Everyone claiming right. No one wants to say sorry first.

Be quick to say sorry and you will not only save the day but you will be respected. Saying sorry can avert fight, it can soften the situation and bring peace. Saying sorry is a sign of maturity and responsibility. Say sorry not because you offend or that you are at fault but because you want peace and surely you will win the other person over. It may be hard to say sorry especially when you are not at fault but practice and learn it and just say sorry . you will be surprised how much positive you have made and so much impact and influence you create especially to people around you.

Live peacefully and praise God.

Thank you for reading.

Wow interesting.
Indeed just a simple word 'sorry' can change many things or prevent many things
