Twist Of Life

Another ironical twist of life!

When one is at the bottom in life, he his disregarded by society. His rights are denied and he his easily trampled on. Life is hard and fulfillment is scarcely felt; Still, true happiness, inner peace, real friends, family hood, trust and love can be easily experience and truly attained.

The reverse is the case when your at the top. At the top you're mostly feared not loved. You're highly regarded by society and crowds cling to you, but in the mists of the crowd deep inside you feel alone. For the crowd are never true friends.
Its lonely at the top. People will want to be with you for what you are and not who you are. They will pretend to love you just for their benefits and the moment there is a storm they will desert you without blinking an eye. Many, including those you call friends will plot your downfall, they will wish so much for your failure just to take your place. In your bid to get to the top, friends will turn to foes. Jealousy Will come in, and even your family members will try to bring you down for they can't stand your success. You will get stab and hurt a lot, to the point it becomes close to impossible to trust anyone. You will step on the toes of many and many will wish to see you fall.

Inner peace will be rarely felt by you. Trust is a luxury you can't afford. You will get so busy that you will might lack time for pleasure and to maintain relationships; for though its difficult to get to the top, its even harder to remain at the top. True friends will be hard to obtain but haters, and opportunists will be everywhere. Your every mistake will be widely seen, exaggerated and debated on. You can't just be your true self for you will have a reputation to maintain and critics will be keenly watching your every move. Lots of expectations and pressure will be on you. Truly, the competition and power struggle at the top is scary.
At a point, so many will wish and strive to be like you. They will take you as a role model, but you will look down from the top and decide if Solomon was right or wrong, when he wrote: "Vanity upon vanity, all is vanity."

Nevertheless, we all strive for the very top, its the best place to be and can also be one of the most unhappy and lonely place to be.

Nature did a great job in ensuring perfection doesn't exist in our lives....
