Rape of 'the might'
Source: Personal Collection
The sun of might once sank deep in the horizon, faces lost its fun and cheerful countenance in the Sahel. Darkness emerged and fear pierced into that very enclosed flesh of the living causing more pressurized pulse of blood. A thunderous silence deafened ears and a glare of darkness ravaged the eyes, wind of terror shook the vulnerable nature around whispering danger unlike breeze, but fury and eerie, blowing minds and causing distress to souls. Hence nature has been replaced by evil, being noctural has been extinction which making a living crept out of every living’s life, diminishing hope of witnessing a day break. Thus, aloof all souls stand and awake all bodies remain, waiting for the ‘BEAST’, a god of terror to unravel and unleash the foreseen dream of horror. The gargantuan second clocked, and a bang rented the atmosphere like an Armageddon strike. Waiting to see the rage in the face of the beast, cruel enough it was a man not a beast. A man with that look of belonging to humans but with a heart in the face, misery, terror and rage better defined.
This is a tale of a land adored with gore, a desert and a swamp of blood spilled on a barren soil. Blood of the desert brethrens, heirs of kings and descendants of scholars flowed freely and their bodies laid six feet underneath for a reason yet to be defined, but eventually beyond dogma. The doom is done and a dream for a dawn flashes in the mind, for enough has been witnessed. This was not just a night, but nights that befalls for years in a desert, making it ghost of itself.

A dawn of might is trying to reveal, a cool and sensational wind is swiping which made all sorrows end. Finally, the horizon is brighter than ever, jaws dropped in wonder, thinking it is the end of time, but not yet it is just a new start and a greater day, free of evil and that yesterday is but a tale to generations to come. Lower there is the sun strutting majestically, extending its golden hands to the living, illuminating the surrounding and faces thereon. The soil begins to display its fertility giving a colour to nature. Tranquillity reigning and serenity felt, leaving the land in a state of joy and oblivion. The look in countenance is defining peace in a smile from beneath the heart, a typical God’s dominion and a replica to paradise. Hosting heroes that survived conquer of a dethroned evil. (A dream deemed to be realized)

“Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I am not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one. ” –John Lenon
ODE TO THE SAVANNA
Marching a journey of peace which is a thousand mile,
A kiss a symbol to love, but for peace is a smile,
A land in times of cries and wailing knights,
A giant aside with honour and might,
From the world is love and sympathy you (North-Eastern Nigeria) deserve,
Towards you is hope and prayers are notably observed,
For this is my Love to you shining best in ink,
Causing best minds to ponder and good heads to think.
It's such a serious situation in the north-east of Nigeria. I really look forward to a time when everyone will truly value other people's life.
