My time at the Nexus Conference in Aspen, CO
I can honestly say that the weekend i just spent in Aspen, CO at the Nexus Conference was undoubtedly the craziest weekend of my life!! There are almost no words to explain my full experience, but I'll give it a try.
I go by Doc (Seymour Mac) of Corrected Axiom. 2 weeks before the conference COAX was invited to play at the long awaited return of the END the FED Philly rallies, in which we had become a staple at in the past years. This event was organized by our friend Michael Heise of the Libertarian Mises Caucus and sponsored by Nexus Earth. What a great event it was and for many reasons: the people in attendance were such a great and responsive crowd for all the speakers and musicians involved, the event was right in front of the FED Reserve of Philly and we got to meet in person Keith F. Smith & Preston Smith of Nexus Earth.
We were already excited supporters of Nexus and I think that was pretty clear. We modified a few songs to give Nexus and Keith F. Smith (the "F" is for Freedom) a shout out and made sure to represent Nexus the best way we knew how.
The next day we heard from Preston & Keith telling us to come to Aspen and that we had to be there. There could be no way to make that happen. Have you seen what it costs to fly into Aspen from Allentown, PA?? But Mr. Smith wasn't having that!
Before we knew it, Preston sent some bitcoin to us and the flights, rental and room was booked.... this was the moment it became real for us! We packed the instruments, PAUL Fest remnants and wives, kissed the boy and the dogs and headed to the airport in Philly. As we arrived in Aspen, we still couldn't believe how or why we were there, but we were extremely excited to be a part of this momentous occasion.

Each day became exponentially the greatest day of our lives.
Day 1: Mozez Flowz and Mike Heise were interviewed for a Bitcoin documentary, while my time had run short and didn't get a chance to interview. We met so many amazing people including the whole Nexus team, Max Keiser, Peter Schiff, G Edward Griffin, Colin Cantrell, Jim Cantrell and various supporters of Nexus, media personnel and excited attendees. We closed our day with shooting the shit with G Edward Griffin and sparking a debate between Max and Peter. Finally we attended the after party and got to party like bitcoin millionaires. Ok, maybe not like millionaires and we were certainly the most broke people there, but the atmosphere was incredible. We were starting to get the sense that something special was happening.
Day 2: We attended various speaking engagements and live show recordings. Again we hung out with G Edward Griffin!! Just hanging out, talking like friends of many years. We did our live performance and was joined y the founder of Nexus, Colin Cantrell on the piano and Buddy Guthrie on the guitar for an impromptu jam session. We finally set up for our 2nd episode of Crypto & Chat with COAX, which we streamed live and was joined by Max Keiser, Colin Contrell, Preston Smith, Keith Smith and the guys from CLOUT.io: Sean and James. I'll wait while you read that last sentence again.

Day 3: We again were able to perform to the Nexus crowd, continued to network with great people, learn about the Nexus vision and upcoming tech developments, all the while trying to take in the beautiful scenery that is Aspen. We finally got to meet Jesse Ventura, Christina Tobin and Dennis Kusinich. On this final day, i was finally given the chance to interview for the Bitcoin documentary I missed out on the 1st day of the event. Boy am I glad I did, because those guys found a sweet location that looked like a nuclear bomb shelter to interview me in. What a great group of guys. I can't wait to see the finished product.
The event was closed out by Dr. Ron Paul giving an awesome speech, while we sat front row. He spoke to a packed house and reminded me what the Ron Paul Revolution was all about. I had forgotten since our time performing at PAUL Fest in Tampa 2012. I was able to get some pictures with Dr. Paul as he signed some of our band merch branded with his likeness.
()
The weather on that final day was rainy and cold, but as Mozez walked out of the venue along side Dr. Paul, the rain stopped and the clouds subsided for a moment to create the most vibrant and beautiful rainbow. It was a sign from above that this event was meant to be everything it had become. There was no other way it could've ended and it will be now known as the #ronpaulrainbowincident. Thats when I presented to Dr. Paul one of our COAX dog tags that bear his image. "Wow, that's really cool" and he pocketed it!!! Ron Paul is probably getting a glass of milk in his blue pajamas right now and I bet he is rocking that dog tag.

As Mozez and I walked to our car, we tried removing our smiles, but couldn't. We looked at each other and said how could this end any better? That's when we saw Gov. Ventura, who was refusing pictures with him out of fear of photo shopped cynicism, but I asked him for one favor: Say "I ain't got time to bleed" (from Predator) and he happily obliged as he entered his vehicle.
Again we asked how could this get any crazier?? That's when we realized Dr. Paul has parked next to us, We offered to pay for lunch as he laughed and entered his own vehicle.
This weekend was the craziest 4 days of my life and all i can think is.... I cant wait until next year!!!
Thanks to Preston Smith, Keith Smith and the whole Nexus Embassy for allowing us to play a part in this event. It has reminded me what truly makes me happy in life and sparked a new motivation for music and activism in me. There is the feeling that the Ron Paul r3volution is still alive. The only difference now is.... we're going to the moon baby!
